OM NOM NOM NOM

Who's hungry? I am... If only there were a food rich in nutrients that was fresh and juicy straight from the mothers womb that wasn't a baby... whats that you say?? there is?!... of course! the succulent satchel of nourishment know as the placenta. Until recently such an amiable delicacy has been hard to come by, unless of course you or your partner had just given birth to one. Today I was browsing through news articles and happened to land upon one about the recent "underground" placenta trade which isn't at all really underground, more like out in the open in a Chinese hospital near you. For the shoppers convenience, a hot, fresh placenta can be delivered straight to your hands in a discrete, black, blood soaked bag for just under US$39.99! What a bargain! Now the only question is, how do you like it? rare? medium-rare? perhaps with a hint of spice?

Also, in case the topic comes up with friends the term for the practice of eating placenta is known as placentophagia.

Bon Apetit!

PS. this is gross.
